Prestressed hollow slab bridge is commonly used as small bridges, and it is one of the most widely used types of the road-bridges in China. Prestressed hollow slab bridges have so many advantages such as: light weight, small height, convenient construction, simple process and so on. However, in recent years, as the increasing road traffic, the increasing transport tonnage and axle-load vehicles, the loads on the bridge were increasing, the damages of the bridges were occurred from time to time.Destructive test on the bridge is one of the best ways to research on non-linear characteristics of the bridge and carrying capacity. Destructive test can exactly record the deflection changes, stress and strain changes, the forms of cracks' development and destruction of full-bridge. In this paper, on the basis of the static load test of a 16m long span of prestressed hollow slab bridge, nonlinear static and dynamic performance analyses are processed, the main work is as follows:(1)Static load test is divided into three stages: vehicle load test, load destructive test and vehicle load comparison test. Real-time automotive collection of the deflection and strain values under each level load of the vehicle load test and load destructive test was proceed and the development of the cracks were observed, a preliminary analysis of the deflection and strain as the load changes.(2)Large universal finite element software ANSYS was used to establish nonlinear finite element model and simulate load destructive test. The calculated results agree well with the measured results and can accurately simulate the deflection and stress as the loads on the bridge structure. The deflection and stress changes are reflected actually as the entire process of the loads on the bridge structure. The non-linear mechanical properties of the bridge are reflected accurately. The deflection distributing and changes of the bridge not considered the parapet were studied. In this way, the structure performance of the bridge declines greatly. The effect to the overall bridge structure performance of the parapet can not be ignored.(3)The holistic single-span non-linear finite element model of the prestressed hollow slab bridge was established. Three phases-modes and frequencies were calculated. The dynamic characteristics were analyzed and agreed well with the criterions. The overall dynamic performance of the bridge is well. The dynamic response of the bridge under four conditions of moving loads was simulated. The dynamic deflections and impact factors under various conditions were analyzed and the calculated span of the bridge is partial safe.In this paper, nonlinear finite element method was used to study the non-linear static and dynamic characteristics of the prestressed hollow slab bridge. The basses of the theory of nonlinear, static and dynamic characteristics for the in-depth study are provided. The reference of the new bridges' design and the in-service bridges' tests and maintenances evaluation, reinforcement is provided.
