As equipment for hoisting and conveying, Tower Crane has advantages of high lifting height and large working range. It is widely used in domestic construction and creates economic and social benefits. However, the frequency of accidents related to tower crane such as collapse, fracture, collision is getting higher with its much more extensively utilization. There are only two kinds of safety devices available for tower crane at construction sets nowadays. The driver would suffer from great danger if without monitoring and managing system and working status parameter display device. Consequently, developing tower crane safety monitoring system and anti-collision systems in accordance with domestic condition is necessitous.The paper aims to study safety warning information access technology for the tower crane anti-collision during the operation of the angle of tower crane, by applying general anti-collision means to the field of tower crane anti-collision. It mainly includes three parts:analysis of tower fault tree, research on sensor boom layout and obstructions track forecast. Details are as follows:1. Tower crane accident tree analysis. Tower crane accident-prone parts of the structure were determined and monitoring of their weaknesses was conducted to make advance warning. The traditional tower crane accident of the achievements was adapted in different way for the establishment of tower crane machine accident fault tree model. Qualitative analysis and important analysis was carried out to find the weak link of tower structure and to determine the anti-collision system core.2. Sensor arrangement on the boom. According to the requirements of anti-collision system, ultrasonic sensors were used to build up a crane conservation area. Points for sensor layout on the tower crane boom are set, and multiple sensors are arranged in each point to meet protection requirements. Meanwhile, according to the characteristics of tower crane operation, surrounding obstacles were classified and their positioning information was possessed in the way of data fusion and coordinate transformation, to provide detailed information for the operator.3. Obstacle tracking forecast. Obstacles around the tower crane hold properties as high mobility, various size, variable height and arbitrary position. Principle of Kalman filter was applied here for qualifying the path tracking of obstacles, to get more precise location info for tower crane operators to anticipate and control the process of tower of the crane accordingly, to eventually eliminate chances of tower crane accident.
