In this paper,it analysises the characteristics of rubber bearings, chooses a frame structure as the research object, and explores the response characteristics and the damping effect after using base isolation technology. Therefore,the paper uses finite element analysis software ANSYS 10.0 to analysis structure dynamic, and establishes space truss model of interlining in the calculation of frame structure. the rubber isolation bearings are simulated by the bilinear spring. On the basis of isolated structure analysis and comparison of the calculated ,it draws some useful conclusions.1. Becase the flexible rubbers are set on the top surface of base isolated structure, it reduces the level of isolation structure stiffness, increases natural period of structure and be away from the frequency of resonance with space segment, thus it reduces the level effect of earthquake.2. The features of Isolated structures under earthquake actions is "the whole movement," the main structural displacement mainly occurred in isolation layer,and the upper structure of the layer displacement is small. Isolated seismic response depends mainly on the stiffness of isolation layer and the elastic-plastic properties. Among them, the isolation of base shear and the upper shear layer structure under earthquake, when compared with no isolation have decreased.The lower horizontal stiffness of isolation layer, the more obvious the isolation effect,and it increases the more obvious displacement of isolation layer,which needs enlarging damping to reduce the displacement.3. According to the different response under the different earthquake waves,the results of analysis indicates that the effect of isolated structure for long-period components of the dominant waves is lower than the short-period components of the dominant waves. Therefore, it should choose a reasonable waves in the calculation of time-history.
