Functions such as ventilation, air conditioning, heating and hot water supply could be provided by solar energy utilization system integrated with buildings. The researches on these functions are good for the use of the utilization of solar energy and ease the grim situation of gradual depletion of non-renewable energy sources.This paper reviews the status of the research of solar building integration, based on which a solar energy utilization system integrated with buildings was proposed, the functions such as ventilation, air conditioning, heating and hot water supply were described. Based on a villa in Lanzhou, a system was described, in which the vertical and inclined solar chimney is set in the south wall and on the south roof, and the North-South air duct was laid under the first and second floor, and by which the air-conditioning consist of ventilation, refrigeration and heating in all the 4 seasons was achieved. Research method integrated computer simulation and experiment was used in this paper, and the effect of air-conditioning was researched under 3 working condition, at last many useful conclusions were obtained. The simulated result showed a optimum ratio of chimney length and width which is about 12:1 under the working condition of ventilation; When the second floor inlet was inclined downward and the optimum angle was 4 degree for strengthening ventilation; The upper limit on floor height was chosen at the building-code request for the best ventilation. Under the working condition of refrigeration the simulated result showed that the surface temperature of rooms falls downward with the increased velocity of wind from the inlet; the maximum number of the nozzles could be chosen for different velocity; The COP is 6.7 under the condition of 7m/s inlet air velocity. The experimental result showed that the temperature maintained a steady and rising trend in the villa, so it is necessary to strengthen the insulation in the villa and change the construction of the solar-collecting roof, and the target that meets winter heating could be expected. Through the contrast of simulated result and experimental data, the theoretical model, which was used during simulation, was proved reasonable, while bigger novelty existed in this system.The design and construction of the solar building could be guided by the results to a certain extent.
