Millimeter wave switche is the basic component of control circuit, and is one of the key parts of radar and testing systems. Single Pole Double Throw Switch (SPDT) is mainly used for the conversion of different channels. In this paper, we adopt fin line for transmission line, and use beam lead PIN diode to complete this switch by two means which are parallel means and series means, and then these tow switches are tested. So far, it is the first time that the PIN diode is in series with fin line to achieve switch in China. So this study in this paper is a useful exploration.In this paper, we have discussed the basic theory of the PIN tube, fin lines and switches. Then on this basis, we complete the simulation of the 5mm wave parallel switch and the 5mm wave series switch respectively by the simulation software ADS and HFSS. Through optimization of the circuit size, we find the switching circuit model which meets the requirements of this design. Then, through the test of these two switches and the analysis of the test results, we propose some improvement measures.
