Due to high power factor, sinusoidal alternating current and energy with the capability of bidirectional transmission, a pulse width modulation (PWM) rectifier has become a major development trend of rectifier. According to the difference of direct current energy storage elements, the PWM rectifier is classified into a voltage source PWM rectifier and a current source PWM rectifier. The voltage source PWM rectifier is always a research emphasis due to a series of advantages, such as simple structure, low loss, convenient control, etc. The thesis emphatically researches the voltage source PWM rectifier and the control strategies, and introduces the design and implementation of a three-phase voltage source PWM rectifier based on DSP TMS320F2808.This thesis introduces the basic working principle and the topology structure of the PWM rectifier and analyzes the mathematical model of the voltage source PWM rectifier. And it analyzes the rectifier model based on the three-phase static coordinate system, staticα-βcoordinate system and rotating d-q coordinate system in order to surport the theories. The thesis proposes a design mothed of an outer voltage loop and an inner current loop, aiming at the general control strategy of voltage source PWM rectifier. Because the voltage source PWM rectifier belongs to a nonlinear mixed control system, favorable dynamic performance of the voltage source PWM rectifier is difficult to obtain by a linear control method. In order to improve the dynamic performance of the voltage source PWM rectifier, based on a power balance theory, the thesis chooses a feedback control method to analyze and establish the linearized mathematical model of the three-phase voltage source PWM rectifier in a d-q coordinate system; on the basis, the classical control strategies for the feedback control of the current inner loop and the square outer loop of the direct voltage are proposed. Due to the adoption of the square outer loop of the direct voltage, a typical nonlinear model is linearized, the control system is designed to be simple and accurate, and the tracking capability of the direct voltage and the alternating current are enhanced.This thesis elaborates the design method and hardware structure of three-phase voltage source PWM rectifier, especially introduces the design of control circuit. The control circuit of three-phase voltage source PWM rectifier is consisted by a PLC, a HMI(Human Machine Interface), a power parameter measuring instrument and the central control unit. This thesis designs the control circuit and introduces the research of the hardware and software of central control unit in detail. And it provides the waveforms of the three-phase voltage source PWM rectifier's experiments, and discusses the results.
