Energy-saving in construction is significant to defer energy crisis, especially for China which has such a huge construction inventory. To reduce construction energy can leave a great and positive impact on the whole country's ecological environment and economic development. At present, many researches focus on construction energy-saving technology in cities, but a few on countryside's and even fewer on countryside's in Chongqing which is characterized by its cold winter and hot summer. Therefore, in order to promote the balanced development of construction energy-saving in Chongqing, the dissertation, with countryside residential buildings in Chongqing as a case example, starts with thermal performance of exterior-protection structure and analyzes modification methods of reducing construction energy consumption.Referring to many literatures at home and abroad, this dissertation begins with heat engineering theory on construction exterior-protection, based on comprehensive knowledge about history of construction energy-saving technology at home and abroad and existing problems. Analyzing parameter counting of exterior protection's heat transfer coefficient, heat resistance, and considering weather condition, geography condition in Chongqing, this dissertation explores how to increase heat resistance, decrease heat transfer coefficient, and reduce heat transfer and energy consumption, and researches into energy-saving technology of walls, roofs, doors and windows. 1. energy-saving technology of exterior walls:internal heat preservation of exterior walls, internal and external combination heat preservation of exterior walls, and external heat preservation of exterior walls, prior consideration of external heat preservation technology.2. energy-saving technology of roofs:adding thermal insulation, flat to pitched modification, adopting green roofs. Because of economic cost, the method of green roofs cannot get popularized in countryside, and the other two may be considered according to the actual situation.3. energy-saving modification of doors and windows is achieved by controlling size of windows, enhancing windows'heat-insulating property, strengthening air tightness of doors and windows.In order to test feasibility of modifying methods, this dissertation, taking a countryside residential building in Chongqing for example, makes engineering research. By using PKPM construction energy-saving software to compute annual heating energy consumption and air-conditioner energy consumption according to schemes of exterior-protected construction modification and then make the optimal modification plan.At the end, this dissertation summarizes necessity, feasibility and attentions of residential construction exterior-protected energy-saving modification in the countryside, and meanwhile points out the improvement of energy-saving rates of residential construction not only needs improvement of construction technology, but also contribution of other relevant fields, such as climatology, economics and etc. Last but not the least, more forceful legal measures and policy support are also essential to this problem.
