Three experiments were conducted to study the NEm and the appropriate net energy requirment of 0-3-week-old Avian briolers. First,we used the Regression Method and Starvation Method to evaluate the NEm, then comparing the results of the two methods to determine which one was better. After that,we conducted the second experiment to determine the NE of corn and soybean meal for 0-3-week-old Avian brioler. Comparative slaughter method and Substitute method were the main methods. At last,we formated 5 dietaries. The levels of NE of each dietary were different.By studying the effects of NE levels on growth performance, and N utilization,we determined the appropriate net energy requirment of 0-3-week-old Avian brioler.Experiment 1 Regression Method and Starvation Method were used to determine the NEm of 0-3-week-old Avian briolerSeventy eight 8-d-old (empty body weighted 108.7±2.6g, had been fasted 36 hours) male Avian briolers were used in this experiment, The 58 of them were used in Regression Method, and the retained 20 birds were used in Starvation Method.10 birds of the Regression Method were killed by cervical dislocation and cryopreservation to regard as control. The retained 48 brids randomly assigned to four treatments with six replicates each, each replicate containing two chicks. Four treatments were divided into ad libitum intake,30%,50%, and 70% of restricted feeding respectively. All of the treatments feed the same dietary. The composition of the ration could satisfy the nutrition requirment for 0-3-week-old brioler as the suggestion of NRC(1994). The birds were fed to 13.5 day of age, and the were fasted 36 hours (15day of age). All of birds were killed by cervical dislocation and cryopreservation. The length of the experimental period was from 8 to 15 days of age, total 7 days. We collected the excreta of 7 days of each replicate. The MEnI/kgww0.75*d,HP/kgw0.75*d and the ER/kgw0.75*d were inspected. The 20 birds of Starvation Method were feed tol2-d-old, then fasted 36 hours (13.5-d-old) (empty body weighted 148.7±7.9g),10 birds were killed by cervical dislocation and cryopreservation to regard as control, remaining lObrids were fasted 24 hours again. Then tested the energy of the two group of chikens. The energy consumed by the birbs(fasted to emptiness)as the NEm of 0-3-week-old Avian brioler. The results showed that:1) The Regression equation of NEm is HP=440.603e0.004MEnI (R2=0.91, P<0.01), NEm=440.603KJ/kg BW0.75*d for 0-3-week-old Avian brioler at 30±2℃circumstance.2)The Regression relation between RE and MEnI is RE=-396.69+0.7091MEnI, MEm=559.43KJ/kgBW075*d.The Kg=70.9% and the Km=78.8%.3) The result of the Starvation Method was NEm=346.060KJ/kg BW0.75*d。Experiment 2 Evaluation of the NE of corn and soybean meal for 0-3-week-old Avian briolerFifty five 8-d-old (empty body weighted 108.7±3.4g,had been fasted 36 hours) male Avian briolers were used in this experiment,10 birds were killed by cervical dislocation and cryopreservation to regard as control, remaining 48 brids were randomly assigned to four treatments with six replicates each, each replicate containing two chicks. Four treatments were divided into the rationl, ration2,30%corn replace rationl, and20% soybean meal replace ration2.The composition of the rationl could satisfy the nutrition requirment for 0-3-week-old brioler as the suggestion of NRC(1994). The CP% contain of ration2 was decressed some percentage on that basis of rationl. And the other ingredents were the same as NRC(1994).30%corn replace rationl, and 20% soybean meal replace ration2 were using corn or soybean meal to replace the 30% of rationl or the 20% of ration2. The birds were fed to 14 day of age, and then were fasted 36 hours (15.5day of age). All of birds were killed by cervical dislocation and cryopreservation. The length of the experimental period was from 8 to 15.5 days of age, total 7.5 days. We collected the excreta of 7.5 days of each replicate. The Comparative slaughter method and Substitute method were used to determine the deposition of NE of corn and soybean meal. The NEm was estimated on the bases of the experimentl. The results showed that:1) The NE value of corn is 10.338±0.143 MJ/Kg (air-dry basis, DM:86.64%),and the NE/ME of corn is 77%.2) the NE value of corn is 6.621±0.111MJ/Kg (air-dry basis,DM:88.15%),and theNE/ME of soybean meal is 61%. Experiment 3 The net energy requirment of 0~3-week-old Avian brioler 2501-d-old (average weighted 45.2±0.8g) health male Avian briolers were used in this experiment. They were randomly assigned to five treatments with five replicates each, each replicate containing ten chicks. The NE level of the five treatments are: 8.97,9.25,9.54,9.83,10.11MJ/Kg (DM of the feeds were 87%. The length of the experimental period was from 1 to 21 days of age, total 21 d. Average Daily Gain (ADG), Average Daily Feed Intake (ADFI) and Feed:Gain ratio (F:G) were calculated per pen. At the second week of the feed expriment,4 replicates of per treatment, and 2 birds per replicate, were used to determine the effects of levels of NE on N utilization. We collected the excreta of 4 days of each replicate. The results showed that:The effect of net energy on ADFI were not significant. The ADG of treatment 4(NE:9.83MJ/Kg) was the highest(33.70±0.90g/d), which was higher than the treatment 1,2 and 3 (P<0.01). There were no difference between treatment 4 and treatment 5 (P>0.05). The F/Gof treatment 4(NE:9.83MJ/Kg) was the lowest(1.365±0.010), which was lower than the treatment 1,2 and 3 (P<0.01). There were no difference between treatment 4 and treatment 5 (P>0.05). The N deposition of the treatment 4 was the highest(1.53±0.06g/d), which was higher than the treatment 1 (P<0.01). There were no difference among the treatments 2,3,4 and 5(P>0.05).The N utilization effectivety of treatment 4 was the highest(63.79±0.68%), which was higher than the other treatments (P <0.01). There were no difference among the other treatments(P>0.05).Generally speaking, the NE requirment of 0-3-week-old Avian brioler for gain and feed:gain, respectively, is 9.884MJ/kg and 9.900MJ/kg(DM is 87%).The average value 9.892 MJ/kg is the appropriate NE requirment of 0-3-week-old Avian brioler.
