Through the sampling analysis of the soil in the orange demonstration garden of Gong Cheng Biological Industry Zone, the soil nutrient content condition of the zone is obtained. After comprehensive evaluation, the richment or deficiency degree of the soil fertility is determined; and the existing problems in the nutrient management are to be found. Based on the evaluating results, the climatic and geographical conditions, the soil fertility, the features of fertilization and orange nutrition in Gong Cheng County, a new method of blending organic fertilizer, green manure and chemical fertilizer and putting then into comprehensive and balanced use is to be experimented. In the experiment, the subjects are the seven or eight years old mandarin oranges in the orange garden of Gong Cheng Biological Industry Zone, Guang Xi. After an analysis of the change in the nutrient content of orange leaves and the change in soil nutrient, the relation between the different fertilization models and orange nutrient supply in the orange demonstration garden is to be studied, which aims to explore a fertilization model which can not only balance orange nutrient supply, but also reduce fertilization amount and fertilization cost. There models are set up in the experiment. They are: Treat ment A: Gong cheng biological fertilization model (organic nutrient :inorganic nutrient=1:2); Treat ment B: Improved biological fertilization model(Treat ment 4:1); Treat ment C: Traditional fertilization model (organic nutrient :inorganic nutrient=l :4.7).Results show that there is no distinct difference among the three treatments in the nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content of the orange leaves at the stage id physiological abscission of fruits ,young fruit expansion and harvest; and that the organic substance content of soil increases obviously. The various indicators show that though treat meat B, I, e .the improved biological fertilization model, has reduced the number and amount of fertilization, it can still ensure balanced supply of nutrient to oranges at different stages, also, since it reduces the amount of chemical fertilizer, and enlarges the ratio of organic fertilizer, it is not only conducive to the improvement, of the soil fertility but also helps to reduce production cost and enhances the sustainable development of agricultural production.
