Scutellariae barbatae injection was a compound preparation of traditional Chinese medicine which was composed of the extractive of scutellariae barbatae and lobeliae chinensis, it had the effects of heat-clearing and detoxicating,detumescence and odynolysis, clinically, the scutellariae barbatae injection was commonly used to cure the diseases of hepatochlic hygropyrexia,yellowish urine,acute or chronic hepatitis. Modern research indicated that the scutellariae barbatae injection had the effects of antisepticizing,antiinflammato,protecting the liver,reducing enzymes and enhancing the immune function of organism, and so on. Chemical synthesis antivirus drugs were forbidden to use in veterinary surgeon, therefore, it was an inexorable trend to exploit the traditional Chinese medicines which had the effect of antivirus.duck virus hepatitis was an acute and serious infection disease which was caused by duck hepatitis virus, the disease resulted in great loss of duck production.According to the theory of Chinese medical science, duck hepatitis and hepatitis had the syndromes of liver meridian sthenic fever and diarrhea due to damp-heat which were caused by the intrinsic factor of the spleen and stomach heat and the extrinsic factor of humid heat.In the clinic of human medical science, scutellariae barbatae injection was frequently used to cure the hepatitis, therefore, it was theoretical and practical to use scutellariae barbatae injection to cure the duck virus hepatitis.In the study, we validated the safety of scutellariae barbatae injection which was upgraded by the factory of veterinary drugs producing, after that, we made use of DHV to infect the 3 days old nonimmune and healthy yong ducks to establish the model of duck virus hepatitis, and observed the effects of prevention and cure and immunologic enhancement of scutellariae barbatae injection, then, observed the relationship among miscellaneous drug actiom mechanism of anti-inflammation and prevention and cure of duck virus hepatitis.First, pretesting the LD50, all of the mice were survival while administered scutellariae barbatae injection with maximum concentration and maximum permissive volume, so we didn't get the LD50;we got the MTD of scutellariae barbatae injection by MTD test, MTD>2.5 g/kg;the result of micronucleus test indicated that the scutellariae barbatae injection had none mutagenic potential;we sliced the tissues and organs of the mice which were processed long-term toxicity test, and there were none conspicuous pathological change through the test under microscope, it indicated that the scutellariae barbatae injection had none overt toxicity.The results indicated that the toxic action and side effect of scutellariae barbatae injection were little, and it was safe to use in the clinical dosage. Second, made use of DHV to infect the 3 days old,nonimmune and healthy yong ducks, then, injected the scutellariae barbatae injection, and observed the effects of prevention and cure and immunologic enhancement.Results, the protection rate of drug group and immunization positive group was comparative, and they were more than model group, it indicated that the scutellariae barbatae injection had great therapeutic action to duck virus hepatitis.Therefore, there were some clinical value to make use of scutellariae barbatae injection to cure duck virus hepatitis.Through the determination of T,B lymphocyte count,hemomyelogram and the influence to phagocytotic effect of macrophage, we got the conclusion that scutellariae barbatae injection had the effect of immunologic enhancement.Third, the results of in vitro bacteriostasis test indicated that the scutellariae barbatae injection had great inhibitory action to many pathogenic bacterias.Through the test of scuteilariae barbatae injection relieve fever of rabbits which was caused by endotoxin, results:all of the scuteilariae barbatae injections with different concentrations could relieve the fever caused by endotoxin and reduce the quantity of endotoxin, but its exact mechanism still need to be researched.The models of rat albumen voix pedis engorgement, mouse ala auris engorgement caused by dimethyl benzene and granulation tissue hyperplasy caused by agar to assess the influence of scuteilariae barbatae injection to Active chronic inflammation.In the test of mouse ala auris engorgement caused by dimethyl benzene, scuteilariae barbatae injections with different concentrations had inhibitory action in a certain extent to the mouse ala auris engorgement caused by dimethyl benzene, the 5% group was the best, the inhibition ratio was 58.07%, the inhibition ratio of 2.5% group was less than 5% group, and the 1.25% group was smallest.The inhibition ratio of 2% NaSA group was 12.68%, and the anti-inflammatory effect was between the 2.5% group and the 1.25% group.In the test of rat albumen voix pedis engorgement, the 5% group and 2.5% group had inhibitory action mouse granulation tissue hyperplasy caused by agar, and the inhibition ratio was respectively 14.14%, 10.07%;the 1.25% group was only 1.66%;2% NaSA group was 18.40%, the anti-inflammatory effect was better than the three groups of scuteilariae barbatae.The results indicated that scuteilariae barbatae injection had great inhibitory action to acute inflammation, chronic inflammation and the proliferative stage of inflammation, and the anti-inflammatory effect of different concentrations of scuteilariae barbatae injection was concentration gradient.Detecting the contents of MDA and NO in duck serum, Among them the model group the MDA content in the serum was 23.78 nmols/mL, The MDA content of 5% the scuteilariae barbatae injection group was 15.33 nmols/mL, The MDA content of 5% the scuteilariae barbatae injection group obviously low in model group;The NO content of model group was 128.21 nmols/mL,The NO content of 5% the scuteilariae barbatae injection group was 40.12 nmols/mL, The NO content of 5% the scuteilariae barbatae injection group obviously low in model group, and the results indicated that the scuteilariae barbatae injection might reduce the content of MDA and NO to generate the anti-inflammatory effect.To sum up, scuteilariae barbatae injection had great therapeutical effect to duck virus hepatitis, it had significant relationship with the effect of enhancing immune function and preventing secondary infection through antisepticizing, relieving fever and anti-inflammatory effect.Through reducing the production of NO and MDA to generate the anti-inflammatory effect.
