Objective:To provide experimental bases of optimizing point in acupuncture clinical practice by means of electroacupuncturing one side and both sides of Yanglingquan Point under B-ultrasound. Method:99 cases of chronic cholecystitus or cholelithiasis were randomly divided into left Yanglingquan Point group, right Yanglingquan Point group and both sides Yanglingquan Point group. There were 33 cases in one group. The gallbladder volume was both measured under B-ultrasound before and after the acupuncturing which was performed with dilatational wave for twenty minutes, and comparing the gallbladder shrinkage. Then statistical treatment was performed and the differences between the groups were compared. Results:The gallbladder volume carries on the comparison the acupuncture around, and there are significant differences in every group of the three ones (P<0.05). Regarding to the gallbladder contraction rate, there is no significant differences between acupuncturing the both sides Yanglingquan Point and left or right Yanglingquan Point (P>0.05), there is also no significant difference between acupuncturing left Yanglingquan Point and right Yanglingquan Point (P>0.05). Conclusion:Acupuncture left, right or both sides Yanglingquan point all may affect the chronic cholecystitus patient's gallbladder contraction function, and there are no significant differences between the three groups. The conclusion indicates that acupuncturing one-sided Yanglingquan point has the same therapeutic effects to acupuncturing the two-sided ones in clinical practice.
