Objective:Xanthium alcohol extract of the extract fraction of the liver toxicity of water extract for liver toxicity and the relationship between time and dose.Methods:Experimental study of the subject in the original basis, with ethyl acetate, butanol and water cocklebur 65%alcohol extract to extract, detect body weight, liver index, serum biochemical indexes (ALT, AST, AKP, TBIL, DBIL), to determine Xanthii on the site of liver toxicity. Further study the low-water extract of high school three kg group 7,14,21,28 d and 7,14 d after stopping the change of each index in rats to observe its toxicity and the relationship between time and dose.Results:1.Water extract of rat liver index, ALT, AST, AKP were significantly higher than the control group; n-butanol extracts of rat liver index, AST was significantly higher than the control group; ethyl acetate extract group and the blank control group was not significant.2.Water extract of high dose group after the administration of 21 d and 28d liver index, ALT, AST, AKP were significantly higher than the control group; middle dose group after administration of 28d liver index, AST was significantly higher than control group; low dose group at each time point index and liver ALT, AST and AKP levels compared with the control group, the difference was not statistically significant.7d after the cessation of administration, high-dose group ALT, AST still significantly higher than the control group.14d after cessation of administration,3 rats biochemical treatment group with the control group, the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion:Cocklebur butanol alcohol extract and water extract has a toxic effect on rat liver, the water extract of liver toxicity for rats and there is a link between time and dose. Dose, administration of a long time, resulting in toxicity; dose of small, short delivery time, resulting in toxicity. The toxicity of water extract can be restored after the 14d to the control group with no significant difference, which reflects its toxicity produced reversible.
