Xanthium mongolicum Kitag is belong to Xanthium L.Genus, Compositae family. The distribution was reprted in dongbei, Inner Monglia and Hebei.It has the effect of antiviral, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory analgesic and so on. Xanthium mongolicum is used in treating rhinorrhea, wind-cold, skin eczema, leprosy and itch, whitch is a kind of important wild medicinal plants.In our investigation, The Xanthium mongolicum were extracted with anhydrous alcohol, after filtration and concentrate. Preparationextract of Xanthium mongolicum were extracted with n-Hexane, ethylacetate and n-Butanol, respectively. Thirty compounds were isolated by silica gel column chromatography and HPLC from n-hexane, ethylacetate and n-Butanol fraction extract from the Xanthium mongolicum, The chemical structures of the constituents were identified by means of physic-chemical and spectral date, They are: Olein(1), Glycerol linoleate(2), ?-sitosterol(3), lasidiol p-methoxybenzoate(4), stigmasterol(5),?-selinene(6), xanthatin(7), xanthinosin(8), Luteone(9), ?-apinasterol(10), 4?,5?-epoxyxanthatin-1?,4?-endoperoxide(11), Glyceol trioleate(12), vomifoliol(13), dehydrovomifoliol(14), Linoleic acid(15), 4-oxo-bedfordia acid(16), 11?,13-Dibydra-8-epi-xanfbut(17),(3R,6R,7E)-3-Hydroxy-4,7-megastigmadien-9-one(18),scopoletin(19), pinoresinol(20), quercetin(21), methyl p-hydroxybenzonate(22), Tetracosane(23), Daucostero l(24), Z-3-hexenyl-?-D-glycoside(25), saccharose(26). Among them, compounds 4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 19, 22, 25 were isolated from this plant for the first time.
