Objective:To study the protein expression and clinical significance of VEGF-C and Flt-4 in squamous cell of lung cancer. Methods:VEGF-C and Flt-4 expression were evaluated in the primary and their normal tissues of 89 patients with squamous cell of lung cancer as well as lymphnode metastasis tissues of 41 patients by immunohistoehemistry (S-P method). Results:Positive expression rate of VEGF-C and Flt-4 in squamous cell of lung cancer and lymphnode metastasis tissues were higher than of normal tissues (P<0.05). There was correlation between the expression of VEGF-C and Flt-4 protein and histopathologic classification, smoking exponent (P<0.05). There was correlation between the expression of VEGF-C and TNM(P<0.05). The rate of lymphnode metastasis in high-expression group of 41 patients was higher than those in low-expression group(P<0.05). There was positive correlation between the expression of VEGF-C and Flt-4 in squamous cell of lung cancer (r=0.372, P<0.05). Conclusions:There was significantly correlation between the expression of VEGF-C and Flt-4 in squamous cell of lung cancer and lymphnode metastasis. |
