Study Of Aids Knowledge And Behavioural Intervention Among Female Sex Worker Group Of A Certain Main District Of Chongqing

ObjectiveThe research is based on the analysis of the statistic of FSW group in a certain main district of Chongqing for the year 2006 to 2009. The aim for this research is get to know the AIDS preventing and controlling situation of the FSW group in the district and seeking for appropriate method of the FSW prevention.Methodsgeneral investigation of all the places of entertainment in the district; sampling survey of anonymous FSW group questionnaires; HIV and syphilis test to the collected 3-5ml blood sample. All confirmed statistics were input into Epidata3.0 database then analyzed by SPSS11.5. Statistic analysis including: description analysis to the measure and count of the data; one-way ANOVA;chi-square test;Logistic regression etc.ResultsIn this district, the FSW group scale is differ from years: there are about 3,000 people in 2009 from the age 20 to 29, 57.3% are married, 80.3% are from Chongqing, 98.8% are Hans and 80.5% of the group are only graduated from junior middle school. AIDS prevention awareness has been increased from 63.1% in 2006 to 88.0% in 2009. The percentage of condom usage for the latest commercial sexual behavior has increased form 77.3% in 2006 to 87.3% in 2009. The highest rate of HIV infection is 0.5% and the highest rate of syphilis infection is 3.5%.ConclusionFrom 2006 to 2009, the FSW group in this main district of Chongqing belongs to low risk HIV infection area. Through wide AIDS preventing and controlling actions, the AIDS knowledge awareness of the FSW group has been improved and the percentage of condom usage has increased.
