Objective: The aim of this study is to explore the risk factors of diabetic retinopathy, especially to investigate of the correlation of diabetic dermopathy with T2DM diabetic retinopathy. Method:The cases were observed from Department of endocrine in first teaching hospital of XinJiang medical university form February to September in 2009. Diabetic retinopathy and diabetic dermopathy were measured in 183 type 2 diabetes patients。Meanwhile, their gender, age, duration of diabetes, glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAIc),triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),Fasting blood glucose(FPG),lowdensity lipoprotein(LDL)were recorded. All the measurement data was expressed as (mean±standard deviation) and was analyzed by t-test;the numerical data was analyzed by Chi-square test。Logistic regression was analyzed by means of with or without diabetic retinopathy as dependent variability between two variables use to spearman rank correlation analysis. Result:The T2DM patients of diabetic dermopathy, the incidence of diabetic retinopathy above and beyond to not have diabetic dermopathy patients. The diabetic dermopathy are significantly correlated with T2DM diabetic retinopathy(P<0.01); Diabetic dermopathy, age, duration of diabetes, glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),triglyceride(TG) have statistical significance between diabetic retinopathy and non-diabetic retinopathy(P<0.05). Gender, total cholesterol(TC),lowdensity lipoprotein(LDL)and fasting blood glucose(FPG)have no statistical significance between two groups(P>0.05). As well as,diabetic retinopathy, age, duration of diabetes,FPG have statistical significance between diabetic dermopathy and non-diabetic dermopathy(P<0.05). Gender,HbA1c,TG,TC,LDL have no statistical significance between two groups(P>0.05). The results of multivariate conditional logistic analysis show that diabetic dermopathy, duration of diabetes,FBG are still related to diabetic retinopathy in type 2 diabetes(P<0.05). Conclusions: Diabetic dermopathy are significantly correlated with diabetic retinopathy in type 2 diabetes; Our study further supports that diabetic dermopathy might be used as a telltale sign of diabetic retinopathy, especially the place of lack ophthalmologic inspect equipment, necessitating more intensive ophthalmologic care, especially in long-lasting and hyperglycemia diabetes。...
