Correlation Analysis Between Placing Inferior Vena Cava Filter And The Recurrence Of Deep Venous Thrombosis Of Lower Limb

Objective: Deep venous thrombosis of lower limb is the most common disease in vascular surgry.The recurrence of deep venous thrombosis of lower limb after normal treatment is the main reason of the failure,although the methead of treatment are improved ceaseless.In the past ten years,in order to prevent the PE,the inferior vena cava filter was widely be used.But placing inferior vena cava filter maybe become the risk factors of the recurrence.We studies correlation analysis between placing inferior vena cava filter and the recurrence of deep venous thrombosis of lower limb and give some advices for placing inferior vena cava filter. Methods: Totally 304 cases of deep venous thrombosis of lower limb,from 2002 to 2009 treated in the general surgery department of the affiliated hospital of xinjiang medical university,ruling out 14 patients who died for PE,8 patients who didn,t accept nomal treatment and 21 patients loss of follow-up.261 cases were brought into this research. there were 130 males and 131 females ,were retrospectively reviewed.Cases were divided into recurrent group and group having no recurrence according to their outcome, Combined with clinical experience and pertinent literature, we analyzed the factors possibly causing the recurrence,inculuding age,sex,typing, placing inferior vena cava filter,acute or chronicity case,the limbs with disease,if accomplish anticoagulant therapy,have an operation of embolectomy,have the other operations,elastic-stocking therapy,the degree of leg exercise,and then the multifactor Logistic regression analysis was undertaken for parametric estimation and hypothesis testing,the regression coefficient,P value,OR estimation value and 95% CI were analyzed for selecting the risk factors that influence the recurrence. Results: By statistic analysis,the placing inferior vena cava filter, if accomplish anticoagulant therapy, typing, elastic-stocking therapy have significant meaning with the recurrence of deep venous thrombosis of lower limb,the other factors have nonsense..Conclusions: The placing inferior vena cava filter are main factor which may cause deep venous thrombosis of lower limb recurring. So the indications of placing inferior vena cava filter need to be discussed again.Anticoagulant therapy and Elastic-stocking therapy will benefit to reduce the the recurrence of deep venous thrombosis of lower limb.
