These works stirred up a lot of ofexcitement for their faithful description of real life and they also earn Chi's high position inliterature. What we want to emphasize is that Chi's works not only display the rich content ofcommon people culture, but also show the obvious, continuing thinking of observed motherconsciousness. It is this thing that the modern writers generally lack.
