The Writing On The Conflict Between Mother And Daughter In Feminine Texts Of Modern And Contemporary Chinese Literature

In the former culture system, the research of the relationship between two generations often focus on the father-son relationship, which studies the difference, conflict and communication between the male eldership and the male junior. However, the mother-daughter relationship has always been ignored as it is conventional to honor the male as the centre of the society. Thus the research on the conflict between mother and daughter in female texts of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature is a new field. Although modern literature researchers have done considerable work since new period, there's still not enough. The cultural significance of the conflict between mother and daughter in feminine texts of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature is not studied deeply.This thesis compartmentalizes the feminine texts in three periods, the period of the May 4th Movement, the period between 1930s and 1940s and the period between the 1980s and 1990s. On the base of these, it analyses concretely and researches the writing on this theme in details. The thesis hackles the development venation of the writing on this theme, expatiates the cultural significance of the theme, and discusses the associate of the literary narrative theme and the social cultural thoughts.The thesis explores the object within the scope of the Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature which lasts nearly 100 years. It is applied the theory and method of feminism, depth psychology and psychology. And then, the thesis also unscrambles the representative texts of the three periods to post the deep cultural psychology of the conflict between mother and daughter in many angles. With the comparative analysis of the female texts of three periods, it indicates that the writing of the theme of the conflict between mother and daughter in the 1980s and 1990s continues and exceeds the modern Chinese feminine literature self-consciously, and calls for the foundation of a new relationship between mother and daughter. Through these compositive analyses, we can get a basic understanding of the conflict between mother and daughter in feminine texts of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature.
