Cloud design is one of important motif of Chinese traditional decorative patterns. It brings people's imagine and spiritual pursuit of cloud from ancient to modern. It has become the clue for us to find out the history and culture, and we can go ahead step-by-step to explore the secret of decorative patterns.The fundamental reason of Qin-Han cloud design's coming is people's understanding and comprehension of natural movement's regular pattern, and the deep examination and experience of natural philosophy and sport's beauty. The mutual penetration and fusion between Taoist's world outlook on Sports worldview and Confucian's aesthetics on life ethic revealed the universal discipline of movement among the society and nature. Qin-Han cloud design has been separated into head, body and tail by the semiotic point of view; they are analyzed by unique mathematical view. Qin-Han cloud design has the features of mathematical structure, free combination, image's grafting and simplified restructuring. Qin-Han cloud design appears as the main decorative patterns rather than the supporting decorative patterns at the bottom. The tail of Qin-Han cloud design is also a symbol of cloud design and it is the key element that gives expression to the Han cloud design's flexibility and flowing. After the analysis of Cloud design pattern, we can see that cloud design has the applied rules of "group", "similarity" and "fit", and it applied the traditional pattern to modern design. The analysis of humanistic concept in Qin and Han Dynasty is in order to explore the culture and social values, as well as the ancient Chinese Confucianism complementary aestheticidea of the spirit and unique philosophy.
