It is just as William A. Haviland said that Culture is the values, beliefs, and perceptions of the world shared by members of a society, that they use to interpret experience and generate behavior, and that are reflected in their behavior.Based on the definition of culture above, this paper will study the Han cultural history of Zhongdian in six aspects, such as the historical origins, the historical representations, the differences, the communication, the regional features, the research perspectives and methods and so on. And the previous studies did not make a system research in these aspects. The historical origins of Han culture in Zhongdian have a direct and a indirect one. Han immigrants are the direct source. They came to Zhongdian through various channels, including soldiers and their family, blazers, miners, refugees and army deserters, businessmen and handicraftsmen, people of career changes after 1950, separated person of the Red Army, brides and grooms and so on. The indirect source is immigrants of Hui People, Naxi People, Bai People and other ethnic minorities.Han culture in Zhongdian is reflected in all aspects of people's lives, such as the marriage system in patriarchy, the funeral view of considering death as birth, the diverse religion, the thriving festivals and the gradually established education system, etc. Besides, family tree reflects the period Features and the author's beliefs and values. Although there are differences and misunderstanding in history, exchange and mutual influence between Han culture and minority cultures is primary. Thus, there is a harmonious picture of culture exchange.Because of geographical location and the residential model of living with each other, the features of Han culture in Zhongidan are special, such as marginalization, diversity, imbalance and localization. Regional features are not minorities, but are the innovation of Han culture which absorbs other cultures in order to adapt to local needs. In addition, the study of ethnic history should pay attention to the changes in research perspectives and methods.
