The Study On Knowledge Management Of University Library

In the context of a knowledge-based economy, knowledge management has become a hotter attention in the global topic. As the university library which is investing in human capital and the treasure house of knowledge, is bound to face this new topic in the 21st century. Starting with the concept, the characteristics and the objectives of knowledge management, combining the characteristics of the university library, this paper analysis the necessity of library for the implementation of knowledge management; investigate the construction of the library knowledge management system; Discuss the characteristics and the content of library knowledge management. And make eight specific measures on how to implement knowledge management in the library:that is to build a management system to support knowledge management; increase the capital investment; create the organizational culture of knowledge management; introduce the information technology; build a strong knowledge-based team; establish a knowledge base for library services; establish a set incentives for library; Establish a knowledge management the assessment for library system. In addition, starting form the object of knowledge management, combining the four business process of library:librarians team-building, infrastructure development, information resource construction and innovative of user's services, this paper carry out a model of the implement knowledge management in the library, detail the objectives system of the university library of knowledge management.
