Every node in mobile ad-hoc network has to act as a router for the network to function. Ad-hoc network is infrastructure less, and node needs to count on other to extend the overall communication. Dynamic source routing (DSR) is one of the old routing protocol used in establishing ad-hoc network. Network function smoothly if every node cooperate in an honest manner, but their maybe some malicious node to disrupt the network traffic for example some control packet modification attacks can cause network partition. In this paper we propose the implementation of an objective trust framework given by jie li for establishing and sustaining trustworthy routes in the network under control packet modification attacks. According to the framework, Each node maintains trust levels for its neighbor by promiscuously listening to their neighbor and rates them based on modified Bayesian approach combine with beta distribution for trust value drawing.Ad-hoc enable node to only see what happen in its vicinity, so trust value sharing also called second hand information is done by the reputation part of the Trust design that to get information about other nodes in the network. Finally trust part and reputation part are merged together for trusty route selection by combiner. To evaluate the performance impacts of applying trust based route selection to the DSR protocol several different simulations have been performed on the Ns-2 network simulator. We were particularly concerned on the system throughput, delays and link cache stability in term of control packet overhead. The results from these simulations have been analyzed and presented.
