With the rapid development of network communication technology and the multimedia transmission technology, video codec compression technology has become the focus of research and has emerged a variety of compression standards. Due to the high compression ratio, network adaptability, H.264 has emerges as the most reliable video coding standard being widely used. Besides high compression ratio. On the other hand, H.264 is also a great demand for computing power., high-definition video is becoming more and more popular and it is also a challenge to the ability of the processor. Freescale, Texas Instruments, the world-renowned semiconductor manufacturers have introduced a number of multi-core parallel processing chip. TMS320DM6467 is based on the DaVinci platform and embedded HDVICP image co-processor acceleration engine that can improve video encoding efficiency greatly.Firstly, analyze the principle of H.264 coding and HDVICP coding theory, on this basis, design the flow chart of the image layer and macroblock layer encoding process. On basis of HDVICP seven acceleration module, design each macro block encoding process, and for each module design the encoding process, and finally achieve a completely video encoding process, and select three different scenes video to test the encoder and results of encoder completed successfully.Then to improve the coding efficiency, analyze the relationship of various modules and the internal structure of HDVICP modules, analyze the internal structure of DSP and design the parallel coding framework based on DSP and EDMA, Based on the realationship of the different module, design the parallel encoding structure design of different coding frame coding module, on this basis, design a complete framework for parallel video encoding and test parallel results by comparing the time difference before and after parallel encoding, encoder performance is greatly improved.Finally, for the large time-consuming of ME module, analyze the common motion search algorithm and search templates, design the large template and small motion search template for ME module, on this basis, design the ME module motion search algorithms and processes and complete the code changes, by test coding time, the optimized encoder performance is greatly improved, basically meet the demand for high-definition video encoded in real time.
