With the rapid development of wireless communication and computer technologies, mobile adhoc network will have more deployments in military and civil fields. Tactical internet is a typical application of mobile adhoc network in the battlefield command and communications. It is a support platform for the tactical digital battlefield based on packet radio network technology. Under conditions of informationization, the traditional maintenance of equipment support program can not meet the battlefield requirements of remote, rapid, accurate and efficient support. So under conditions of informationization, research about equipment support based on tractical internet is important.Based on deep analysis of tractical internet features, type of equipment failure, requirements of equipment support and limitations of existing work, we proposed a model named CFDM(Cluster-Based Failure Declaring Model on MANET). The model is more adaptable to failure information transmission's characteristics and requirements under the wild and wartime conditions, and reduces communication traffic and routing control overhead, faster disseminates failure information, enhances stability of the network link. Based on the CFDM, a protocol named FDP (Failure Declaring Protocol Based on MANET) was proposed. FDP can deliver fault information timely, enhance the network reliability effectively, reduce communication range and communication traffic, thus highly suitable for networks characteristic of the intended environments.For the realization of collaborative awareness and cooperative work among military equipments in battlefield, we design collaborative awareness algorithm based on clusters to distribute cooperative awareness information with lower network cost and faster delivery speed. Cross-monitoring algorithm is designed to enable network nodes to monitor each other's network status, which can help timely detect break in circuit and report network fault.The system has the functions of real-time fault information report and display, and provides functionanlity of data query and statistical analysis. Situation display function based on geographic information system provides a more intuitive visual experience for user to understand the battlefield at a glance.
