According to the definition given by the Institute of Internal Auditors, internal auditing is an independent, objective, assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization's operations. It helps an organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.As a hypermarket enterprise, company A is faced with many kinds of risks during its daily operation, such as financial risk, commercial risk, image risk, and hygiene risk, etc. Internal audit in local hypermarket company has not been involved in internal control effectively, in consequence the risk management in local hypermarket enterprise is weak.The target of this article is to share with local companies in same line the working model of internal audit in company A. By presenting the results of the improvement of internal audit and the analysis made on the existing working model, this article elaborate the way how internal audit in company A plays the key role in internal control and helps the organization to achieve its operational target. At the same time, from the working process of internal audit, such as choosing audit type and auditee, communicating audit findings and following up the action plan, the article also explain the way how internal audit helps the company identify, evaluate and manage the risk effectively.
