Competition on Internet is no longer a simple technology or product competition, but the business model competition. Internet companies get capital through financing to start and develop their commercial projects. Who has a good business model will be first developed. Social media is the trend of the internet. Micro-blogging as the new force of social media has appeared its great social influence and user cohesion. However, having no clear business model has made investors gradually lost confidence in it. So the research of micro-blogging business model has important practical significance.Sina micro-blogging is a micro-blogging service launched by Sina and also the first portal micro-blogging. Its appearance reverses slump of Chinese micro-blogging. Depending on the mature promotion strategy, Sina micro-blogging rapidly gets more than one million registered users and become the largest social media platform.2011, Sina micro-blogging has initially completed its Users accumulation and starts the second step—commercial layout. Sina micro-blogging has gradually begun to explore its profit model. This research of the Sina micro-blogging business model intends to give some suggestions for the development of Sina micro-blogging and contribute to the development of Chinese social media.As Sina micro-blogging for the research object, this Paper firstly introduces the concepts and systems of micro-blogging and business model.Then take the business model as a framework system we study the Sina micro-blogging from its business operations track and business model system. In the end, we evaluate its business model and find its problem. Based of the study, this paper analysis the problem of sina micro-blgging and give some suggestions form the perspective of communication.
