China's Rural Residents' Consumption Structure Optimization Problem

At present, the main contradiction in China's economy is the lack of market demand, and lack of market demand is mainly due to the rural market is not really effective start. In 2008, our rural population that accounts for the national total population proportion is still as high as 54.32%, showing that consumption of rural residents still is the largest component of household consumption, and the rural residents off is the key issue of the goal of well-off society fully completed by 2020. Because consumption structure of China's rural residents is simple,low levels of consumption, accounting for more than half of the total population of rural residents optimization and upgrading of the consumption structure will help to open up rural consumer market, and increas domestic demand, and thus conducive to China's economic growth to consumption, investment and exports change.Lately 19th early 20th century, Western economists began to specialize in the structure of consumption, especially in Germany statistician Ernst ? Engel raised the Engel coefficient, so far this concept has become a famous measure of the consumption structure that is reasonable or not in the world. Since the reform and opening up, China scholars on the consumption structure of rural residents also discussed the problem constantly deepening, no lack of discussion about the rural consumption system. These are for us to correctly understand the problem of the consumption structure of rural residents to provide a reference. Compared with the reform and opening up, China's consumption level of rural residents has been greatly improved, consumption quality is also improving, but the consumption structure is still relatively simple, overally still in the the consumption patterns of survival data consumption-based stage. In this paper, to regulate the study as the main empirical analysis, supplemented by the analysis, consumption structure of rural residents of the current situation in China are discussed the main problems of the consumption structure, focusing on analysis of the impact of the consumption structure of the major factors , and proposed measures targeted to rural residents is expected to raise the standard of living and to achieve high quality of life.Framework of this paper is divided into four parts. The first part is the theoretical foundation, aims to research the consumption structure to be carried out with a brief overview. The second part describes the consumption structure of rural residents in recent years, then the current consumption structure of rural residents in China are the main issues. The third section focuses on the main factors of the impact of the consumption structure of rural residents in China. The specific measures of The fourth part are: increasing their income, improving the rural ecological environment, and gradually promoting the development of consumer credit in rural areas, improving rural social security system, especially with different choices of employment of rural surplus labor of different regions to provide a targeted policy recommendations.
