In recent years,along with the deepening of the market economy system,the supply orientation was gradually replaced by the demand guidance,expanding consumer demand has become one of the main ways of economic development in our country.The research on consumption demand and consumption structure has always been a hot topic of society concern.To study the income distribution of residents and their consumption structure can promote the understanding of the relationship between them.Government departments can make the consumption structure more reasonable by adjusting income distribution structure,so as to achieve the purpose of promoting economic growth.Under the background of the new economic environment,if we want to promote steady economic growth,we have to increase the residents' consumption,and expand domestic demand.Rural residents accounted for 56.81 percent of the total number of Gansu province,so stimulate the rural residents' consumption,accelerate the process of upgrading the consumption structure of rural residents,and promote the region's rapid economic growth,have far-reaching significance for building a well-off society in an all-round way.The empirical study found that by adjusting the income distribution structure of rural residents in Gansu province,narrow the income distribution gap,which is contribute to improve overall consumptiontendency The current rural residents' consumption structure in gansu province as a whole is still in backwardness,food consumption is still a primary of rural residents consumption category;The marginal propensity to consume of rural residents in gansu province decreases with the increase of income level.At present,the three hot spots of rural residents' consumption in gansu province are: food living and transportation communication.
