China's Eastern And Western Urban Elderly Travel Constraints Analysis

With the development of population aging, there has been a huge seniors group and potential seniors tourism market in China. Whether go for a tourism is affected by tourism motivation and tourism constraints, however, our country is still a developing country, material life is not rich enough, therefore, tourism constraints'influence are greater than tourism motivation, the research of seniors tourism constraints is very important as well. At present, there just be a little researches on seniors tourism constraints in domestic and mainly focus on single regional, this paper makes Shanghai and Xining represent eastern and western city, lateral compared eastern and western seniors'tourism constraints in empirical research,mainly use the method of quantitative analysis, the paper analyzed tourism constraints'feature and differences between eastern and western city seniors, and raised strategies on the development of seniors tourism.The research concluded the progression of seniors tourism researches on reading extensive literatures in domestic and abroad, and designed questionnaire based on that results. The base datas were obtained by On-the-spot investigation in Shanghai and Xining. The SPSS soft is used in datas analysis; the main analysis methods are narrative analysis, correlation analysis, factors analysis, binary logistic regression and correspondence analysis.The research results showed that the same tourism constraint has different effect on eastern and western city seniors; the tourism constraints of Shanghai and Xining seniors all can be divided into three categories, they are intra-constraints, inter-constraints and structure-constraints,but the specific elements included in inter-constraints of Shanghai and Xining were different, the other two factors had the same elements; the effect of intra -constraints, inter-constraints and structure-constraints on the two cities were different, inter- constraints had little effects on seniors'tourism desire, intra constraints had the biggest influence on both Shanghai and Xining seniors and later were structure constraints,the analysis resuts also showed the three constraints has bigger influence on Shanghai seniors than on Xining seniors;the contrast of seniors tourism constraints between the two cities'seniors aren't significant based on gentle, however, the contrast based on age was significant in intra-constraints, the structure constraint differences of urban seniors on different education and income level were very significant, inter constraints just showed significant difference in Shanghai seniors, the intra constraints difference of Xining seniors'were significant on different resident status; the two cities' senios were both divided in to four types based on tourism situations, the general features were that seniors in the first type had big motivations for tourism and high tourism frequences, tourism constraints had little influence on seniors of this type, the seniors in the fourth type had the least motivations for tourism, and tourism constraints had the biggest influence on this type. The tourism destinations of Xining seniors in the past three years were scattered, but Shanghai seniors'tourism destinations were mainly centralized in eastern China, in the future three years, Shanghai seniors'tourism destinations would turn to western region, the frequencies of abroad tourism in Shanghai seniors were higher than Xining seniors.This paper analysised the tourism constraints'features and differences of eastern and weatern urban seniors on empirical research, it had certain innovation in research content and research angle, but there still be some problem, such as the number of chose city were inadequate, the questionnaire need to be improved and optimized, the future researches on seniors tourism constraints can put more attention on these aspects, then make the research conclusion more universality and practicality.
