In recent years, as the advance of residents'income and consumption levels, the impact of consumer demand for national economic development is increasing. The transformed consumption patterns of residents and expanded consumption requirement became main motivations of our fast economy growth. However, the average consumption preference has dropt a lot, especially incurrent years, consumption passion also kept low. Although the government has carried out many policies to stimulate the consumption, the bank saving still increased rapidly. Therefore, studying the law of consumer demand is practical meaningful for securing macroeconomic economy run. This paper, selected urban and rural residents of China as the research object, attempts to explore the influence factor of consumers' behavior and the Consumption patterns through quantitative study.1. I use cointegration theory to analysis the change of consumers' behavior, considering income, interest rates, consumer price index and so on. Cointegration theory is currently the most advanced in econometrics. Especially, it can avoid spurious regression when we make positive analysis for non-stationary data.2. I analysis consumption structure of residents with Panel Data Model. Compared with pute cross-sectional data model and time serial model, Panel Data Model has many advantages, for example, more reliable paramteter estimates, ability of identifying factors which pute cross-sectional data model and time serial model can not, ect.3. Finally, I have conclusion:we can promote consumption through keeping stable and rapid economic development, expanding employment and Improving people's income; We can improve the level of residents' cultural and educational entertainment and medical care through increasing financial investment and establishing a sound social medical insurance system.
