Building A Harmonious Society Of China's Income Gap

Income distribution has critical influence on residents'life, and the reasonability of income distribution is a significant indicator of social justice and superiority. It has become a problem which cannot be ignored and caused wide concern that the large income distribution gap, especially the gap between labor and capital, urban and rural, different industries, and different districts in China. It will lead to lots of social and economic problems if the income distribution gap continues expanding. It will decrease the life quality of resident and damage the harmonious of society. Therefore, the depth study of the relationship between income distribution gap and harmonious society construction is an important topic in the current field of social sciences, which is significant from the perspective of theoretical and practical.This paper has analyzed the present situation, causes and impact on harmonious society construction of the income gap between urban and rural areas,different areas,different industries and factors, compared the successful experience of United States, European countries and Japan in adjusting income distribution, and finally given suggestions on narrowing the income gap and promoting the harmonious society construction in China. During the study, standardized analysis and empirical analysis method, together with comparative analysis and historical analysis have been mainly used to reveal the mechanism how the income gap affects social harmony, which can be an important reference for the government income gap control.
