With the introduction of relevant policies for the price regulation fund, some local governments set up the non-staple food price regulation fund, and the municipal government of Zigong City,as the first in Sichuan Province, according to its local conditions, established the main non-staple food price regulation fund in 1989.20-year practice has proved the main non-staple food price regulation fund did play a certain role, but it also need to be constantly improved and regulated.Through research of the roles of the Zigong city's main non-staple food regulation fund in practice, to stabilize the market price, and to develop the base of main non-staple food this paper analyzes the problems lying in the role of regulation, probes the causes of these problems and seeks the advisable solutions to the problems.
