Meanwhile, the merge of China economy into world economy has its own demands for China telecommunication industry. Up to Dec 11th, 2004, it has been 3 years since China entered World Trade Organization (WTO). According to China's agreements into WTO, China has promised to open its telecommunication market in 6 years step by step. After China's WTO entry, there will be fundamental changes in China's telecommunication market. With the original market structure changed, China's telecommunication market will see more competitions than monopoly. New developing opportunities will emerge as China's telecommunication industry open to none governmental capitals, creating favorable surroundings to joint China's telecommunication industry to world.Based on the market structure changes since China's telecommunication industry open and reform, with"Structure, Conduct, Performance"analysis frame in industrial economics, this thesis explored China's telecommunication industry developing strategy after China's WTO entry. What's the gap between China's telecommunication markets and WTO telecommunication standard? What China's existing telecommunication markets look like? Are China's telecommunication enterprises conducts standardized? And is the according performance effective? Facing the coming challenges and opportunities after China's WTO entry, what kind of strategy should China's telecommunication industry take? All the above are the themes this thesis tried to discuss.There are 3 chapters composing 11 sections altogether. Chapter 1 explored the opportunities and challenges after China's WTO entry, both in macro and micro aspects.
