At the very beginning of the thesis, the author analyzes the current macro-environment of China (including political, legal, economic, social, science and technological environment), and in particular, the environment of China's security and protection industry. Then the author introduces the background information of USA CI Company. (USA CI Company) and the corporate's global business allocation. By using a variety of strategy analysis methods, the reasons to support USA CI Company's decision to enter into the Chinese market are explored. The author puts forward the view that the strategic decision must be made in line with the strategic goal after studying how USA CI Company, in the initial period of entering into the market, positions itself in compliance with its long-term goal aiming at the target market, plus the features of the local market and that of the security and protection industry. The marketing theories are also utilized to delve USA CI Company's channel design, channel member selection as well as duty assignment. At the end of the thesis, USA CI Company's fundamental strategies related to competition, product, corporate growth, public relations and human resources are discussed. The thesis researches practice on a theoretical basis with the purpose of providing the readers with some key issues that deserve concerns in the initial period of entering into a new market, and, the solutions to the issues.USA CI Company is the object of the case study. The significance of the study not only lies in the exploration of the strategic positioning and designing of a company when entering into a new market, but also lies in the research on the correct ways of designing, building and managing the distribution channels. Strategies of the distribution channel are crucial for a company. They have a determinant impact on the fate of a company's entrance into a market and business management. The case study helps the companies handle some key issues when they locate themselves in a new market. In the meanwhile, the thesis also grants some valuable information to the enterprises with the ambition to quickly gain a foothold in an emerging market and win the competition advantages. In addition, China is now an important member of the world economy as it enters into WTO. Taking into account the economic globalization and the increasingly intensive multi-national competition, the thesis enlightens the Chinese enterprises to get a better knowledge of their competitors.
