Development of Technology will promote the development of the business model. In the telecommunications industry this rule is especially obvious. The innovation of SIP-based P2P VoIP in China has lead to the telecommunications operators' great suffer in the traditional voice market. Along with the constant development of this technology, many experts acclaimed that in future voice communications will be absolutely free! Looking at the world, it is not something new at all that VoIP services has been desconted a lot or even for free. VoIP as a mature business has been carried for three years in the business world.Now, after three years, VoIP business model has created a lot of fixed model, like the free Skype, like Yahoo BB broadband access bounding with VoIP......etc..What will the VoIP in China be like? Whether or not operators will eventually lost their market power in telecommunications market due to the development of VoIP? Whether the operators' saying, to become an integrated information service provider, is just a slogan? This paper will be gradually carried out along these problems.Chapter I of this paper describes the basic concept of VoIP, the technology development and basic types. Chapter 2 analyzes the current chain of VoIP industry, the impact on the development of the industrial chain bottlenecks and driving factors. Chapter III arise a business model analyzing model to check the kinds of VoIP business model, using the standard business model given by Osterwalder. In chapterIV, I make a detailed comparison of the difference between Skype and traditional telecom operators in business models, and use this as an example to show how VoIP challenged the traditional business model. Chapter V is a list of suggestions for telecom operators about their development strategy in future. In Chapter VI I argue the future of VoIP's business model, and summarize several possible scenarios.The point is these:1,Bring out an annovation in business models framework based on detailed understanding of Osterwalder 2004.2,Using the business model to carried out a detailed comparative analysis between Skype and the traditional telecommunications business model, and clarified the advantages of Skypes' business model over the traditional operators'.
