China is a large agricultural country, so agricutlure has always been the foundation of China's national economy. The development of agriculture and a steady increase of peasants'income can promote economic development and social stability. Since reform and opening up, agricultural industralized operation has played a major role in increasing peasants'income, agricultural efficiency and rural economic development, and it is an effective way to develop agricultural economy which has been proved by practice. However, "risk-sharing, benefit-sharing" contract linking mechanism between leading enterprise and peasants is inperfect, causing an overall lower operating efficiency of the agricultural industry organization, which greatly restrict the development of China's agricultural industry organizations. Most of the traditional researches on agricultural industry organizations are from a standpoint of costs or contracts, but we believe that whether the governance structure of agricultural industry organizations is suitable or not also affects the efficiency of the organizations'operation much. Therefore, in this dissertation we study the evolution of agricultural industry organizations governance structure from a perspective of principal-agent relationship between leading enterprise and peasants, to analyse the efficiency of agricultural industry organizations'operation,which is going to be a theoretical and practical significance to develop China's agricultural industry organizations.The dissertation discusses about the evolution of China's agricultural industry organizations'governance structure by means of principal-agent theory and regulate work as well as empirical work. The main contents of the dissertation include the following:The first part is introduction of this dissertation, including issue's background and significance, commentary on the current study at home and abroad, main contents, methodology, assumptions and hypotheses, and possible innovation.The second part contains basic concepts and theory, expounding governance structure and principal-agent relationship of economic organizations, presenting the basic theoretical framework.The third part is theory work of principal-agent in agricultural industry organizations'governance. It is the theory derived, which mainly introduces the meaning and attribute of agricultural industry organizations, analyses the principal-agent relationship in agricultural industry organizations'governance structure and builds a principal-agent model, and then discusses the factors affecting the evolution of agricultural industry organizations'governance structure.The fourth part is empirical work of principal-agent in agricultural industry organizations' governance. Through analysing the evolution of Gaoyou duck Group's governance structure and principal-agent relationship, we study the efficiency loss and optimization of principal-agent relationship in Gaoyou duck Group'governance, providing a reference for related agricultural industry organizations.The last part summarizes the conclusions of the study, and evolves some inspiration, puts forward some suggestions.This study presents the following conclusions:Firstly, the development of agricultural industry organizations is a process that combine the interest mechanism of leading enterprise and peasants more closely, so the governance structure of agricultural industry organizations has an evolution which begins with market governance, later middle governance, and end up by intergrated governance.Secondly, different stage of agricultural industry organizations'development fits different governance structure. Market governance and middle governance are mode of transition, and intergrated governance will be the tendency of development. Highly intensive, information-based, highly industrialized intergrated governance structure will be the direction and objectives for future operating of agricultural industry organizations.Thirdly, with the expandition of scale and increase of age for agricultural production, assets specificity and frequency for transactions will inhance, which will force to formulate intergrated governance for agricultural industry organizations.
