With the continuous development of the globalization of economic, the competition in world market is becoming increasing fierce. In such a climate, an effective supply chain management has become particularly important. Inventory control is part of supply chain management and plays a vital role for the coordinated development of supply chain. The customers' demand has been growing uncertain, making the inventory control in the supply chain complex dynamic. In such uncertain and dynamic environment, it's difficult to solve inventory control problem through traditional static analysis method. This dissertation studies the model and simulation of inventory control system when the factors as random demand and lead time are uncertain.This dissertation first reviews the present study of inventory management both in China and abroad. Then the dissertation discusses the basic theories of supply chain and inventory control and summarizes the relationship between random factors and inventory and the inventory control strategies in supply chain. This dissertation describe a supply chain model composed by three tier nodes and sums up the inventory control strategies and gives evaluation index for the core issues in inventory control system. After that, this dissertation discusses the system simulation theories and studies the modeling and simulation method combined with Witness software. Then this dissertation proposes the main module of a supply chain inventory control system simulation model and analyzes the simulation process of the main events in the model.Based on the above theories, this dissertation studies the lean production system based on value, discusses the random of product lead time and the dynamic of customers' demand and further explores the inventory management based on the mobility of good management. After that, to solve the high control cost and illogical inventory turnover days in A company, this dissertation designs a supply chain inventory control system simulation model based on Witness combined with simulation unit that expresses the three finished engine components and its raw materials. Through the analysis of simulation results, this dissertation provides an optimum inventory control program and safety stock for A company.
