The rapid development of credit card business has brought about considerable profits to domestic commercial banks .At the same time, potential risk arose and increasingly caused damage to the banks, which made a restriction on the expansion of credit card business. So it is very important and significant to make a study on how to measure and control of credit card service operation risk in China.First, the paper expatiates on the background of why this topic is chosen, where the research purpose lies and what analyzing ways are used. Then follow theories of experts from home and abroad related to the operation risk management. Then, the paper introduces the basic situation of this bank, with the stress on this organization's existent problems and the reasons of operation risk management. After analyzing this organization's credit card service operation risk management according to five links of the operational risk management flow: recognition; assessment; control; monitor and report, the paper found out 56 operations risk key points in the process of credit business, and discovered two major reason for operational risk: personnel and procedure, and assessed the operational risk management of this organization at a controlled degree. Finally, by the income model of top-down, this thesis measured its operation risk capital and advanced suggestions to further improve credit card service operation risk management for its existing problems.
