Chain management is popular in China in recent years as a form of business organization and management, growing and developing rapidly in the country's current economic environment. However, with the continuous improvement of the socialism market economy and chain enterprises are playing their more significant role in the circulation industry market as main competition, and the competitive environment is also getting more complex increasingly. Specifically as China joined the World Trade Organization, the Chinese chain enterprise are challenged by the multi-national enterprises in production industry, concentration, business scale, corporate system, business mechanism, administrations, R&D, innovations, and human resources, and facing an unprecedented competitive environment. Therefore, evaluating competitiveness of chain enterprises scientifically is of great realistic significance to guide them to formulate strategy.Firstly, through analyzing the nature and characteristics of the chain enterprises, the article forms preliminary theoretical foundation. And then, from the characteristics of the chain enterprises, the aritcle puts forward five principles to construct the competitive evaluation system, and construct the evaluation indicator system chain enterprises' competition with seven criteria, the 11 criteria and 36 indicators in the four levels. Afterwards in this foundation, it does the empirical analyzing with principal component analysis model for the 13 public chain enterprises using SPSS software package for the relevant data processing. In the last, it contrasts the result of the empirical analysis and the list of top 100 chain enterprises for researching to get the competitiveness ranking of the 13 enterprises, and proposes suggestion to further promote the development of chain enterprises.
