Innovative Mortgage Insurance Products

With the accelerating urbanization process, furthering housing-system reform and soaring housing price, housing problem gains more and more attention from every social class. In order to improve home ownership, the government launches a series of measures to support home buyers; in which offering mortgage insurance to purchasres is a vital one. However, it doesn't play its role due to imperfect insurance products. Therefore, reqirements of product innovation always exist. Aiming to realize the win-win of house purchaser, lender and insurer, this thesis innovates on mortgage insurance product.Making use of comparison study and empirical research, learing from the experience of USA, Netherland and Canada, the thesis analyses our insurance products' defects, and then puts forward innovation's direction, namely improving external environment, increasing insurance products providers, adding isurance products and reforming marketing mode.The innovation of this research: (1) creation of mortgage insurance product; (2) cleary defining the attributes of mortgage insurance product; (3) introducing and comparing the overseas experience comprehensively. The difficuty of this research is that it's hard to establish a pricing model due to data unavailable.
