Business Growth Of The Theory Of Evolution And Development Of Practice

The theory of the growth of the firm is concerned with the rules that underlie the operation of large-scale manufacturing. It covers enterprise behavior, development, management, structure, and etc. The exploration on this topic will benefit the adjustment and direction of enterprise activities, and therefore is of great importance to the reform of state-owned enterprises and even to the development of the national economy of China.This thesis introduces the evolution and the current state of the theory. It is well known that the ultimate embodiment of the value of a theory is to function as the guideline in practice. In the thesis, we provide a detailed analysis and comparison of the top 100 enterprises of China and of USA, from scale and benefit, based on the new research results of the theory. After integrating the characteristics and the scope of business into the analysis, we found that it is inappropriate to use the western theory of the growth of the firm to analyze the growth of Chinese enterprises. The socialist market economy has some special characteristics, and the theory of the growth of the firm founded on western market economy cannot be applied to China directly. It is therefore necessary to carry out an independent study and develop a Chinese 'version' of the theory of the growth of the firm.This thesis analyzes the problems in the study of the theory in China, and gives suggestions on how to overcome these problems.
