The development of social labor division makes the relationship between supplier and purchaser change from 'buying what is made' to 'producing what is needed'. The customer oriented service also makes the importance of purchasing management more significant, and it's also why this thesis emphasized much on the new development of purchasing function.This thesis analyzes the supply chain system from another view, which is purchasing management. It introduces the concept of 'Purchase Chain', and also the relationship and difference between purchase chain and supply chain. The TCO concept provides a more objective measuring tool for the analysis of purchase chain integration management. In both qualitative and quantitative analysis of this thesis, total cost of purchase is used as the measuring tool of purchase management performance. The thesis analyzes the effective of purchasing lead time and purchasing quantity on an individual corporation as micro purchasing decision analysis, and proves that any corporation should take other supplier or purchaser's purchasing decision into consideration to improve the profit of both supplier and purchaser, which can be a reliable reference for purchasing management. In the analysis on purchase chain integration management, which is based on information integration, the thesis analyzes the influence of two methods of integration tool, which are coordinating forecast and inventory information sharing, on the systematic performance. A numerical example is also given at the end to evaluate the effectiveness and may give the purchasers more useful suggestion.
