With the development of the world economy, Cross-border M&A, as a means of foreign direct investment (FDI), has become the important means for transnational corporation to do their global strategy. The thesis first makes a definition of Cross-border M&A, analyzes the causes and effects of Cross-border M&A. Based on the traditional Cross-border M&A theories, the thesis points out there is another type of CBM&A, which is called Predominance Creating CBM&A. The second part states the current situation, feature and problems in Chinese corporations'CBM&A. Then the thesis points out Predominance Creating CBM&A could be the very choice for oversea investment strategy of Chinese corporations. For case study, Sinopec, Wanxiang Corporation and TCL Corporation are selected typically. In this part, the successful experiences are put forwarded as well as the unsuccessful ones. The last part gives some suggestions about the future development of Chinese Corporations'CBM&A from three aspects: macro policies, specific industries and Chinese corporations themselves.
