In today's rapidly changing society, leaders have a great responsibility to lead organization to survival and develop. Different leadership style will have different effects on performance. On the other hand, with the increase in social pressure of competition, those employees who have higher level of emotional intelligence employees are more likely to identify emotion, adjustment emotion, and through use emotions to obtain a high level of performance.This paper review and sum up the past study on emotional intelligence, leadership style, set emotional intelligence, transactional leadership, transformational leadership and employees' performance as a research object, through empirical study to find different buffer effects of the two types of leadership style on the relationship of emotional intelligence and staff performancet.In empirical analysis, we received 172 valid questionnaires, after statistical analysis, we found following results:(1) Gender has significant defference in ability of emotional identify, emotional adjustment. Age has significant defference in task performance and contextual performance. Posts have significant defference in ability of emotional identify, emotional adjustment and emotional use.(2) High emotional intelligence related to high contextural performance. When SEA, ROE, UOE, OEA is higher, the contextual performance will be higher. When ROE, UOE is higher, the task performance will be higher, however the relationship between SEA, OEA and task performance didn't be proved.(3) Transactional leadership has a buffer effect on the relationship between emotional intelligence and performance. When the level of transactional leadership is higher, the positive relationship of emotional intelligence and task performance will be stronger, and the positive relationship of emotional intelligence and contextual performance will be weaker.(4) Transformation leadership has a buffer effect on the relationship between emotional intelligence and performance. When the level of transformance leadership is higher, the positive relationship of emotional intelligence and task performance will be stronger, and the positive relationship of emotional intelligence and contextual performance also will be stronger.
