Monetary Cooperation In East Asia, The Dollar Hegemony

After the 1997 Asian financial crisis,East Asian monetary cooperation has become a hot academic research,and the main body of research are the economic circles.However,monetary cooperation in East Asia is not only a economic problem,but also a international political question.The perspective of the analysis from international relations of monetary cooperation in East Asia can be extended to think in order to put relations with the major powers at the core of the international political arena,which has a more comprehensive analysis of a broader theoretical framework and in particular against the U.S.hegemony on the impact of monetary cooperation in East Asia concerns be in a better position to promote monetary,cooperation in East Asia.This paper is structured as follows:The first part of the first chapter introduces the monetary cooperation in East Asia's macro background,including the impact of financial globalization,U.S.-led international monetary system of the existing shortcomings,the euro,as well as the demonstration effect,and the financial crisis;the second part introduces East Asian monetary cooperation's theoretical foundation-the best currency area theory,and have been reviewed.ChapterⅡintroduced under the auspices of the U.S.monetary system in East Asia.From the hegemonic stability theory and the hegemony of post-cooperation of the United States under the auspices of the U.S.dollar hegemony,and an analysis of U.S.hegemony in East Asia's position,and finally from the tragedy of the internationalization of the yen to U.S. dollars is still a demonstration zone in East Asia.ChapterⅢanalyzed the historical process of monetary cooperation in East Asia and the root causes of the difficulties and monetary cooperation in East Asia.And then analyzed the latest developments and outlook of the prospects for monetary cooperation in East Asia.ChapterⅣdiscusses China's participation in the process of monetary cooperation in East Asia,and look forward to the prospects for monetary cooperation in East Asia.
