Banking, as a high-risk, high debt industry, because of its high relevance to the whole national economy, it has been the focus of the whole society. Therefore, how to guard against risks of banking has become the important subject of banking and academic circles. By December 2006, China's banking industry has been fully opened to the outside world and the transition period of China's Entry to WTO has been ended. Therefore, the international competitions are escalating. Thus commercial banks in China speed up the process of joint stock system reform. However, in the process of the reform, many major cases of bank failures emerged and exposed their weaknesses in internal control. So the study of the internal control of joint stock system bank has far-reaching significance. From a great deal of banking crises and turbulence, people generally realized that it is very time to built an inner-control system accord with the business and size of the commercial banks in order to guard the financial risk and smooth the financial regime reform in China.This thesis took xx Branch of ABC Bank as a specific research object. It launched the research according to idea of "propose the problems, analyze the problems and solve the problem".The paper illustrates in an integrative manner issues pertaining to the internal control of the Chinese commercial banks through five parts:(1)introduction of the research scope and methodology;(2)basic theories on the internal control of commercial banks;(3) discusses the present situation and existing problems of internal control of xx Branch of ABC Bank referring its internal control (4)analysis on how to setup an internal control system for the xx Branch of ABC Bank ; The author has expected that the research results would be a valuable addition to the fast development of further strengthening the internal control of the xx Branch of ABC Bank.
