Weihai Economic And Into The Northeast Asian Economic Zone Strategy

Well into the 20^th century,as the world economy has grown substantially,all countries and regions have transcended boundaries,redistribute resources globally, and seek for optimal distribution patterns and efficiency.These countries and regions are economically interdependent and interwoven more than ever,which facilitates economic globalization.Against this background,with a view to greater economic growth,we must utilize our unique geographical location and abundant national resources and make every endeavor to get involved in regional economic cooperation. However in reality the best way is to be assimilated into northeast Asian economic zone as soon as possible.Currently,GDP in northeast Asian accounts for 1/5 of the world economy and more than 70%of the Asian economy.It is one of the most influential,fast-developing and dynamic areas.Geographically speaking,Weihai boasts of a unique geographical location.It is located at the eastern tip of Shandong Peninsula and serves as the gateway to the outside world.The city is accessible for investment from Japan and Korea.In terms of business practice,recent trade and economic cooperation with northeast Asian countries accounts for 70%of Weihai's foreign trade and investment and fosters the city's economic growth.We must take into account the actual conditions of Weihai,establish a clear goal, redouble our efforts in building the city as a manufacturing base,agricultural produce, and tourist attraction,through implementing a comprehensive set of strategies of opening-up and exported-oriented policies and taking advantage of funding, technology and natural resources in northeast Asia.We aim to build a platform of regional economic cooperation in northeast Asia,achieve reciprocity to the uttermost, and speed up the assimilation of Weihai into northeast Asian economic zone.
