Firstly this paper analyzed the theory of how the retailers selecting the vendors from external factors (including retailing market, global view, the perspective of human rights) and internal factors (the type of retailers, the operation of the vendors, the perspective of price).Secondly the paper analyzed the case of the vendor selection of the 2008 Fall Home Basic polyester comforter and Fieldcrest Luxury silk down comforter of Target domestic department. The selection was made from global view, industry view, the operation and quality control of the vendors, the perspective of human rights, the perspective of product, and the perspective of price.The case study used the theory of industry, the theory of SWOT matrix, weighted average method and so on.
