Atm Nms Study

After entered WTO, the number of credit card increases rapidly. To improve the core competitiveness, the commercial banks in China treated developing ATM channel as their important strategies. This trend requires better management quality of ATM networks. The management of ATM networks must be informational, systematically, and automatically.The purpose of this article is to establish a framework of synthesized ATM network management system, which can improve ATM network performance, enhance bank's management effectiveness and decrease management cost. The structure of this article is as follows: Firstly, it recalls the ATM history in the world and in China, also recalls the history and current status of ATM network management system in China, and then indicates that it is necessary for banks to use ATM network management system. Secondly, through analyzing the requirement, feasibility and threats of implementing an ATM network management system, it indicates that the implementation is rational and effective. Thirdly, it designs a framework of synthesized ATM network management system basing on author's research and working experience on ATM network management system. In the framework, it uses data mining, statistics and queuing theories to develop several decision models, which can help manager in banks to predict the ATM transaction amount, reserved cash, and ATM arrangement. Lastly, it uses one real case to indicate the practicability and effectiveness of that framework.As a conclusion, through author's research, this article provides a new framework of synthesized ATM network management system to banks in China. The research results have definite consulting value.
